Te Arai Retreat is set amongst Te Arai Farm and Truffiere on New Zealand’s pristine east coast, one hour twenty minutes drive north of Auckland CBD. Architecturally designed Te Arai Retreat is stunningly elevated on a north easterly ridge-line with panoramic views to the sea, Hen and Chicken Islands, with pockets of land and lush native bush. Offering seclusion and tranquillity, Te Arai Retreat gives the discerning traveller boutique accommodation 10 minutes from neighbouring Mangawhai and 30 minutes from Matakana. You will be amongst some of New Zealand’s great expansive white sandy beaches, stunning walks, great wineries and cafes together with outdoor pursuits such as golfing, fishing and surfing. As much as we love our furry friends and of course children, Te Arai Retreat is not suitable for pets or children.

Having lived all our lives in East Auckland by the water, it was important for us to have the coastal vista and to incorporate the rural aspect was the ultimate.
